Selinsgrove Center is a state-owned intermediate care facility located on 254 acres in Snyder County, just outside the borough of Selinsgrove. The Center serves approximately 250 individuals across 19 living areas, ranging in age from 23 to 95. Many residents have called Selinsgrove Center their home for more than 40 years.


The Center employs roughly 900 staff members, all of whom are vital members of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to providing person-centered services and supports. This holistic approach is essential to our mission of helping individuals with intellectual disabilities achieve their personal goals and lead meaningful, everyday lives.


Residents require extensive support with daily living, social skills, medical care, and vocational training. The Center provides 24-hour medical care, as well as occupational and physical therapy, psychiatric, speech and hearing, recreational, and social work services. Selinsgrove Center maintains a family-oriented environment and actively encourages family involvement through annual planning, visits, and participation in special events such as the Family Picnic, Spring Fest, and Memorial Day Bash.



Minimum Qualifications:

• Six (6) months of experience as an Aide Trainee; or
• One (1) year of paid experience in the care and treatment of geriatric or physically ill patients/residents; and
• Graduation from high school or equivalent.
• Must be registered and certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Health as meeting the competency requirements for nurse aide work in a long-term care unit.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products.

Role Description:
This position involves non-professional nursing work in the care of patients/residents in hospital, infirmary, long-term care, or domiciliary settings. The CNA provides direct daily care, assists with rehabilitation, and maintains resident quarters. Duties are performed under established policies and under the supervision of registered nurses and/or physicians.
The role includes participating in on-the-job and in-service training to maintain nursing care skills, as well as assisting and encouraging residents to engage in prescribed rehabilitative and recreational activities. Work is closely supervised through reports, ward inspections, and observation, though routine duties are performed independently.
