Whether collaborating with more than 200 highly respected physicians nationwide or partnering with colleagues who are passionate about solving meaningful problems, youll be surrounded by a team committed to shared success./ppIn this role, the Andrologist will:/pulliFollow the laboratorys procedures for specimen handling and processing, and report and maintain records of patient test results. Attention to detail is essential with these duties; labeling must be clear and legible/liliPerform chemiluminescent immunoassays on serum samples using automated equipment. This includes calibrating, cleaning, and maintaining the equipment as required by the manufacturer/liliPerform semen analyses including sperm count, sperm motility, sperm morphology and viability. Perform routine sperm preps for inseminations and Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), maintain aseptic techniques throughout/liliMaintain appropriate laboratory supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipate needed supplies/liliRegularly replace and maintain all medical supplies/liliMaintain records that demonstrate PT samples are tested in the same manner as patient specimens/liliAdhere to the laboratorys quality control policies; document all quality control activities, instrument, and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed/liliFollow the laboratorys established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratorys established acceptable levels of performance/liliBe capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results; must correct the problems and/or immediately notify the general supervisor, technical supervisor, clinical consultant or laboratory director/liliStudy and review laboratory operating manuals and become familiar with quality assurance, quality control, safety procedures, and operating guidelines for performing laboratory services/liliStudy and review OSHA requirements for safe laboratory operation; always wear appropriate lab personal protective equipment (PPE); maintain a protective, safe laboratory environment/liliParticipate in laboratory operations as directed/liliAttend laboratory meetings as requested/liliParticipate in laboratory proficiency testing programs/liliAttend skill enhancement programs as directed by supervisor/liliWork weekends as needed when patients are in stimulation cycles/liliOther duties as assigned/required/li/ulpWere looking for professionals who bring both technical skill and a deep sense of responsibility to the care experienceindividuals who thrive in environments where excellence, empathy, and accountability matter./ppQualifications and skills include:/pulliBachelors degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science required/liliMinimum 1 year of laboratory experience; reproductive/fertility experience preferred/liliProficient in all andrology and endocrinology procedures, with the ability to work independently/liliKnowledge of processing, reporting, compliance, QC and calibrations for andrology and endocrinology/liliStrong laboratory skills, detail orientation, and compliance with documentation skills/liliMust have a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations; position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy/liliExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships/liliExcellent verbal and written communication skills/liliComputer proficiency required/liliSelf-starter that adapts well to change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment/liliDemonstrated expertise in continuous quality improvement, customer service, and team building/liliStrong customer service and results orientation; highly responsive to requests/liliExcellent multi-tasking abilities/liliFlexibility and willingness to learn at all times/li/ulpMore important than any single credential, however, is the right person.
