What You'll Do As a Dual Diagnosis Disorder Specialist As a key member of our Program for Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) team, you will provide essential services to clients experiencing co‑occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Your responsibilities include: Conducting comprehensive substance use assessments, education, and counseling Delivering crisis intervention and symptom evaluation Supporting clients in developing recovery skills and working toward a substance‑free lifestyle Participating in assertive community outreach to engage individuals in need Assisting with referrals to rehabilitation and treatment programs Collaborating with the team during treatment planning and case reviews Sharing responsibility for caseload management Using Motivational Interviewing (MI) to effectively engage and support clients Your work will help clients build confidence, access essential services, and move toward long‑term recovery. What Makes You a Strong Fit To excel in this role, you should bring a blend of education, experience, and interpersonal strengths. Requirements include: Bachelor's degree in a mental health‑related field from an accredited institution LCADC or CADC credentials Two years of post‑certification experience working with chronically mentally ill and/or MICA populations Ability to work a flexible 40‑hour schedule, including some weekends, holidays, and on‑call rotations Valid New Jersey driver's license with a clean five‑year driving record meeting agency and insurance standards Spanish‑speaking ability preferred Additional Requirements Background Check is required. Clear five‑year driving record/abstract with ability to be insured by the organization’s carrier.
