Description: Travelers are expected to work variable days, which includes weekdays and weekends, based on staffing needs. Shifts are from 7 AM to 7 PM for day shifts and 7 PM to 7 AM for night shifts. Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The daily patient census is approximately 69 with a total of 75 beds available. The patient ratio on the unit is 4 patients to 1 nurse during both days and nights. The primary patient diagnoses are general medical and surgical. There is an interdisciplinary support team that includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, and others. The unit is responsible for various medical procedures and requires competencies in numerous clinical skills. Experience in managing and caring for patients requiring cardiac telemetry, ventilator support, and other related care is crucial. All required certifications must be held prior to application. References from two supervisors are required. Travel healthcare professionals are encouraged to apply if they meet these qualifications.
