About the Job: 

We are currently looking to hire an Associate Commercial Manager - Shelf Stable

This role serves as a pivotal connection between the category and sales function. This role translates larger BU objectives into strategic, channel specific strategies. This role will work closely with cross functional partners such as operations, finance, marketing, and sales planning to develop sustainable, profitable growth. This includes tracking and enforcing trade spending guidelines, meeting distribution objectives by brands, and delivering on BU short- and long-term financial commitments. 

This is a hybrid position with an expectation of 3 days per week on-site in Broomfield, CO.

 

This role may be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Translate approved business, brand, and channel priorities into clear workplans for assigned products, brands, channels, customers, or initiatives, including objectives, milestones, dependencies, risks, and owners.
• Lead commercialization plans for new products, renovations, and other portfolio initiatives by coordinating launch timelines, deliverables, customer and channel materials, samples, mock-ups, selling decks, and field communications.
• Prepare and maintain customer- and channel-specific recommendations for assortment, distribution, pricing, promotion, merchandising, shelving, and activation using available market, customer, category, and performance data.
• Develop concise selling stories, customer planning materials, and execution tools that connect brand and category objectives to customer needs and channel dynamics; provide direct sell-in support when requested.
• Gather, validate, and synthesize sales, volume, pricing, margin, trade spend, inventory, distribution, service-level, customer, and market information to identify performance gaps, issues, opportunities, and recommended actions.
• Support forecasts, trade and sales plan inputs, performance reporting, and execution trackers; monitor progress against agreed objectives and escalate variances, risks, and resource needs in a timely manner.
• Coordinate cross-functional partners across Sales, Marketing, Category Management, Revenue Growth Management, Insights & Analytics, Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Innovation, and Demand Planning to deliver defined commercial priorities.
• Lead execution during operational challenges such as allocation, prioritization, network changes, supply gaps, or service disruptions by organizing information, coordinating stakeholders, tracking actions, and communicating updates.
• Ensure commercialization and customer/channel execution reflects approved brand, category, pricing, promotion, and operational guidelines; identify exceptions and recommend practical adjustments.
• Represent customer and field perspectives in internal meetings by bringing relevant insights, facts, assumptions, implications, and next-step recommendations; build working alignment around decisions and accountabilities.
• Support change adoption by translating new processes, tools, strategies, and ways of working into practical team actions, communications, training or enablement materials, and follow-up tracking.
• Lead sales communication processes for assigned areas, including maintaining SharePoint or equivalent resources, distributing clear and timely field communications, and coordinating monthly All Sales calls so teams can act on organizational priorities.
• Establish clear priorities, timelines, and measures of success for assigned work; collaborate effectively, provide transparent status updates, and address execution issues promptly and fairly.

The base compensation range for this position is $85,000 - $92,000 commensurate with experience . 

About You: 

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field. MBA preferred.

• 3+ years previous experience in sales or marketing experience within CPG industry 

• Managing relationships with retailer partners, and marketing knowledge is a plus

• Excellent planning and organizational skills, including superior communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strategic Mindset with ability to analyze data from multiple sources to influence leaders with a compelling and salient fact-based approach
• Demonstrated ability to execute with excellence, and solve complex business problems

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Sales, Customer Service, Brand & Innovation Marketing, Shopper Marketing, Finance, or Operations within the CPG industry or Dairy Industry
• Prior experience with syndicated data (Circana, Scintilla, 8451, etc..), Forecast / Order / Shipment reporting (Kantar), and financial tools (P&L)
• Having experience within Natural & Organic brands
• Retailer experience highly valued
