Executive Director, Research - Integrative Sciences — Immunology

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks an Executive Director of Research for Integrative Sciences focused on immunology innovation. This senior leader will identify, evaluate, and advance external scientific opportunities and collaborations in immune-mediated diseases to strengthen the company's pipeline.
Responsibilities
- Communicate immunology research priorities and lead triage of external opportunities within Integrative Sciences
- Identify and evaluate academic collaborations, biotech partnerships, and pre-IND stage assets
- Form and lead cross-functional diligence teams for opportunity evaluation and due diligence
- Shape external opportunities into practical collaboration plans with clear objectives, milestones, and governance
- Serve on joint governance committees with partners and represent Integrative Sciences to internal and external stakeholders
Requirements
- PhD or equivalent advanced degree in immunology, inflammation biology, or related discipline
- 10+ years drug discovery and early development experience in pharma or biotech
- Deep expertise in immunology with hands-on laboratory or development background
- Strong knowledge of immune-mediated disease biology across rheumatology, dermatology, gastroenterology
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate external scientific opportunities and biotech partnerships
- Experience designing and negotiating external collaboration plans with structured governance
- Excellent leadership skills aligned with enterprise collaboration and accountability
