Practice Setting and Clinical Scope

This role is situated within a busy hospital setting, providing both inpatient and outpatient services. The clinical scope involves performing approximately 18 outpatient and 20 inpatient scopes daily. The position emphasizes endoscopy coverage and consultations during standard hours, ensuring a diverse and engaging caseload.

Schedule and Assignment Details

The assignment offers a predictable schedule, with coverage from Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and 24-hour weekend call. Notably, there are no weekday night calls, allowing for a balanced professional and personal life. The open dates include opportunities to start from August 2026, offering a flexible engagement period.

Support and Work Environment

Work alongside two experienced physicians and two Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), supported by comprehensive onsite services, including lab and X-ray facilities. The hospital utilizes the Cerner EMR system, ensuring smooth and efficient patient care management. The team environment fosters collaboration and continuous learning, supported by robust administrative and clinical resources.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Gastroenterology is required; Board Eligible candidates may also be considered.
• Active Michigan medical license and Controlled Substance Registration (CSR) at the time of submission.
• ACLS certification and COVID vaccination required.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of post-Fellowship experience in Gastroenterology.
• Clean professional background with no significant malpractice history.
