We’re hiring a Job Cost Accountant to join County Prestress in Westmont, IL. Job Summary: The Cost Accountantis responsible foranalyzing, tracking, and reporting all manufacturing costs to support operational efficiency and financial accuracy. The Cost Accountant partners closely with operations, supply chain, and finance teams toprovidecost insights,identifyvariances, support budgeting and forecasting, and recommend process improvements. This position ensures that cost accounting practices align with GAAP and internal controls, helping leadership make data-driven decisions tooptimizeprofitability within the manufacturing environment. Job Duties & Responsibilities: Perform job cost accounting asrequiredfor specific product lines and special projects Track and analyze job-related costs,including labor, materials, and overhead Prepare and post journal entriesin accordance withGAAP and company policies Compilemonthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Substantiate financial transactions through communication and collaboration with internal team members Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls and accounting procedures Assist with special projects and other accountingduties asassigned by theDivisionalController. Partner and collaborate with division leaders. Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite products with advanced knowledge and use of Excel Strong mathematical, analytical, andproblem-solvingskills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proactive,self-motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities within a fast-pacedenvironment. Team-orientedmindset with apositive attitudeand strongattention to detail Work is typically performed indoors.
