Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill cardiac and post-operative patients in the CVICU.
• Monitor and manage ventilators, drips, and invasive lines, including arterial lines, pacemakers, and CRRT.
• Administer and titrate common drips such as Cardizem, Nitroglycerin, dopamine, and sedatives.
• Collaborate with hospitalists or intensivists, and respond to alarms and patient needs promptly.
• Follow protocols for post-op open heart patients and manage complex cardiac diagnoses.
