Registered Nurse Clinical Nurse Lead - NICU. Job Category: Nursing Schedule: Full time Shift: 3 - Night Shift SUMMARY The clinical nurse leader is responsible for the assessment, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the delivery of safe and effective patient-centered care. The Clinical Nurse Leader will facilitate and mentor others to grow professionally and advance their knowledge and skills. In addition, the Clinical Nurse Leader will continuously assess unit needs to ensure adequate resources for current and upcoming shifts by collaborating with other departments, clinical and nonclinical, to coordinate admissions, transfers, and discharges of patients in a timely manner. Finally, the Clinical Nurse Leader will demonstrate professionalism at all times and will uphold standards of practice by holding team members accountable for continued compliance. Competency: Attends required classes (unit skills fair, one mock code per quarter, ACLS, CPR, PALS if required); completes annual competency evaluation; keeps education profile current; understands regulatory requirements; demonstrates organizational policy knowledge; competence in department-specific skills; active leadership participation; promotes shared governance. Performance Improvement: Reports significant events, proactive rounds, ensures handoff communication, assigns and delegates patient care tasks, delegates to unlicensed staff per regulations, participates in multidisciplinary rounds, monitors staff performance, ensures infection control, drives unit process improvement initiative, attends monthly PCI trainings, runs debriefs after codes, participates in unit SWARM activities, Joint Commission tracers/environment safety checks. Accountability: Accountable for work completion/documentation; prioritizes care; prepares for incoming shift; demonstrates cost-effective behaviors; assists team members; coordinates patient flow; performs specific department tasks; rounds with patients/families; ensures appropriate staffing levels; tracks hours in PMR tool; monitors supplies and par levels; uses equipment carefully; delivers disciplinary action; real‑time service recovery. Communication: Coordinates care with units; checks email; attends 75% of staff meetings; prohibits negative language; engages with staffing office; maintains communication with other departments. Professionalism: Adheres to organizational policies, TMCH behavioral standards, professional guidelines (state board, ANA); collaborates professionally; demonstrates conflict resolution, team building; maintains standards; participates in WOC rounding; participates in peer interview process. ROLE SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS EP Coordinator: Oversees EP area, coordinates with Cardiac Cath Lab lead for staffing, scheduling, training, materials management, and recommends efficiencies. Perioperative: Identifies high-risk patients, uses holistic assessment, determines appropriate actions, requires advanced life support (ACLS & PALS). Rapid Response: Provides oversight and training, participates in rapid response, stroke, code teams, maintains NRCPR database, runs abstracts, reviews reports, makes rounds. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred. Experience: One year of nursing experience in an acute care setting required; two years preferred. Licensure or Certification: Current RN licensure in Arizona and Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications may be required. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of critical care techniques, rapid response and code procedures; knowledge of electrophysiology, cardiac catheterization procedures; knowledge of surgery specialties and perioperative care; knowledge of chart abstraction and marketing for Chest Pain, CHF and Stroke programs; skill in evaluating performance; skill in developing training; skill in computer systems (NRCPR, PC File & Folder, Word, Excel, e‑mail, Outlook, PowerPoint); communication skills; ability to interpret documents and procedures; ability to complete reports; ability to listen, speak, communicate; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw conclusions; interpret extensive variety of instructions. #J-18808-Ljbffr TMC Health
