The specific job duties and benefits can vary between franchises./ph3Job Summary/h3pProvides general medical care under the direction of a licensed provider to patients in an outpatient clinic setting./ph3Responsibilities/h3ulliObtain patient vitals, medical history, and reason for visit, and prepare the patient for a physical exam/liliExplain prescribed procedures and treatments to patients/liliEnsure all ordered tests are performed accurately and in a timely manner/liliAdminister prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with the approved procedure/liliDraw blood and preparation labs for reference lab processing and/or in-house processing/liliPerform laboratory tests, lab-quality controls, and equipment maintenance according to written instructions/liliRespond to all lab messages and call back requests/liliPerform all drug screening procedures in accordance with established rules and regulations/liliEnsure patient immunizations are well documented and administered in accordance with the approved procedure/liliConduct physician referrals as well as service pre-certifications on an as-needed basis/liliPrepare exam rooms; sterilize instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures/liliMaintain complete and accurate documentation/liliOther duties and responsibilities as assigned/li/ulh3Qualifications/h3pAssociates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. AMT registered and AAMA Certified Medical Assistants are preferred./p/div
