Highlights Location: Norwich, CT Facility: Backus Hospital Department/Unit: Emergency Department Schedule: Full Time, Evening shift What You'll Do Utilize evidence-based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act. Develop a plan of care to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of patients and families. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams focused on patient-centered care. Ensure the safety of patients and staff in a fast-paced environment. Participate in a supportive culture promoting professional growth. Requirements Education Graduate of a school of nursing; BSN preferred. Experience One (1) year RN experience and/or successful completion of The William W. Backus Hospital Nurse Residency Program required. Licenses & Certifications Current unrestricted License in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut. BLS required. Ability to obtain and maintain ACLS, TNCC, PALS, and CPI certifications within 90 days of hire. Ability to obtain and maintain administration of moderate sedation within 9 months of hire. Certified Emergency Nurse, Certified Pediatric Emergency Nurse, or NRP certification preferred.
