Make a meaningful impact during the 2026/2027 school year by providing essential support as a dedicated 1:1 aide or assistant in a welcoming educational environment in Rochester, NY. This contract opportunity involves working closely with students throughout the school year, helping foster academic growth, independence, and positive classroom engagement in a supportive setting.

This role is ideal for compassionate and motivated professionals who are passionate about supporting students with individualized needs. You’ll work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and school staff to help students succeed both academically and behaviorally while building meaningful relationships along the way.

Key Qualifications:

• Active New York State license/certificate required for Teacher Assistants
• Certification for Aides is highly preferred but not required; strong 1:1 experience is especially valued
• Proven ability to support students individually in both academic and behavioral settings
• Patient, adaptable, and effective communicator in dynamic educational environments
• Previous school-based or special education experience preferred

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized support to assigned students throughout the school day
• Assist with academic instruction, classroom participation, social interaction, and personal care as needed
• Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and support staff to implement student strategies and goals
• Maintain accurate documentation regarding student progress and behaviors
• Support students in developing independence and positive behavioral skills
