Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Schedule

This position entails a 12-hour night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, requiring availability for 36 hours per week. Every other weekend and holidays are required if needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will utilize an outward mindset and consistently demonstrate exemplary effort in achieving personal and patient-care goals. Responsibilities include conducting initial and ongoing assessments, developing and updating patient care plans, and providing and directing nursing care while evaluating outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments; develop and update care plans in collaboration with patients.
• Provide and direct nursing care while assessing and evaluating outcomes.
• Utilize technology appropriately and adhere to safety standards and infection prevention measures.
• Educate patients and family members; document educational activities accordingly.
• Report actual or potential occurrences per hospital procedures.
• Engage in self-assessment, peer review, and participate in performance improvement activities and staff meetings.
• Behave in alignment with the organization's mission, vision, values, and nursing ethics.
• Practice in accordance with the legal definition of nursing in Michigan.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2 years of current Medical-Surgical nursing experience is required.
• Active Michigan RN license.
• Current certifications in BLS and ACLS (must be submitted at the time of application).
• Traveler must have their own vehicle for this assignment.
• All requested time off (RTO) must be included in the profile upon initial submission.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
