Make a significant difference by supporting children and youth who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing as a School Psychologist in New Mexico. This on-site, contract role offers the opportunity to work with students from birth through age 21, split between the vibrant communities of Santa Fe and Albuquerque. Your day will be rich with purpose and connection as you dedicate 7.5 hours each weekday to guiding, evaluating, and advocating for students’ mental health and educational success. The assignment runs from August 3rd through June 4th, 2027, allowing you to form lasting professional bonds and impact lives meaningfully.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid School Psychologist certification, with experience in academic and psychoeducational assessment
• Proven ability to collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Comfort and sensitivity working with Deaf or Hard of Hearing students and their families
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
• Willingness to work exclusively onsite between two locations

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations, including cognitive, social-emotional, and behavioral assessments
• Consult with teachers, families, and specialists to develop intervention strategies
• Write detailed, timely reports and participate in IEP meetings
• Offer crisis intervention and mental health counseling as needed
• Support a positive school environment and advocate for accessible learning
