Summary

Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources is actively seeking a caring and energetic Supported Employment Assistant Supervisor to assist adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Hattiesburg, MS. The position will provide individualized training and follow-up support services, which enhances stability and job retention. The position plays a vital role in providing assistance with daily activities, accompanying consumers on outings in the community, and supporting treatment plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support. Previous experience as a job coach preferred.

This is a full time position. Some weekend shifts may be required.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Valid Mississippi Driver's License with satisfactory driving record (no moving violations within 3 years)

Must be able to obtain Class D license within 30 days of hire

Will Pass CPR, MANDT, And Other Required Testing

Experience working with the IDD population preferred

Responsibilities

Experience assisting others with ADLs preferred

Act as models for appropriate behavior.

May provide transportation to and from facilities and to and from activities in the community.

Performs other work-oriented tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Responsible for training participants in skills and conduct daily activities, training, and documentation for IDD day programs.

Will eat lunch on site with participants and take breaks on site.

Will help individuals learn skills for daily living appropriate to a home environment and will use pragmatic training techniques to develop these skills.

Demonstrates the importance of community involvement, social interactions, and maintaining relationships.
