Onsite Inventory Coordinator

The Opportunity: In this role, you will report to the Territory Area Manager and will work closely with the Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer use Familiarity with inventory or procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms) preferred Basic understanding of order tracking and inventory processes Familiarity with hazardous material handling and shipping procedures is a plus Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to follow established processes and procedures Effective communication and customer service skills Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively Willingness to learn and develop operational knowledge Additional Requirements: Ability to lift 50 lbs Comfortable working in lab and/or warehouse environments Ability to meet safety, quality, and performance standards How you will thrive and create an impact Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group, serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. Inventory Management: Perform routine inventory tasks, including receiving, stocking, tracking, cycle counting, and maintaining accurate inventory records for consumables, chemicals, and lab supplies. Order Processing & Procurement Support: Enter and track orders, monitor backorders, assist with expediting shipments, and maintain purchasing documentation. Shipping & Receiving: Process inbound and outbound shipments, prepare shipping documentation, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, including hazardous materials handling. Customer Service: Provide responsive support to internal teams and customers by fulfilling requests, answering inquiries, and communicating order or inventory status updates. Data Entry & Documentation: Accurately input data into inventory and procurement systems and maintain organized records in accordance with company standards. System Utilization: Use company and customer systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Citrix, VWR+, ChemSW) to complete daily tasks and maintain data accuracy. Compliance & Safety: Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety guidelines, and quality standards in all activities. General Operational Support: Assist with inventory audits, reporting, and other duties as assigned to support overall site operations. Perform other duties as assigned.
