We are currently seeking a Certified Surgical Technician to join our dynamic team and contribute to our mission of delivering outstanding surgical care to our patients.Job DescriptionAs a Certified Surgical Technician at Physician's Surgery Center of Chattanooga, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical procedures. You will work alongside a team of dedicated healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and support to our surgeons.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and organize surgical instruments and equipment for procedures.Assist the surgical team by passing instruments, sutures, and other supplies.Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures.Anticipate the needs of the surgical team to ensure efficient procedures.Assist with patient positioning and preparation.Sterilize and disinfect surgical instruments and equipment.Monitor and record vital signs of patients during surgery.Assist with patient transport and transfer to the recovery area.Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment.Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards.Collaborate with the surgical team to provide excellent patient care.QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalentCompletion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experienceCertification as a Surgical Technologist (CST)Current BLS certificationPrevious experience as a Certified Scrub Technician in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital setting is preferred.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced surgical environment.Dedication to upholding the highest standards of patient care.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.What We OfferAs an organization, one way we care for our communities and each other is by providing a comprehensive benefits package that includes:Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverageLife and AD&D coverageAvailability of short- and long-term disabilityFlexible financial benefits including FSAs and HSAs401(k) and access to retirement planningPaid holidays and vacationAt USPI, we create relationships that create better care.
