Position Summary: STARPLUS ENERGY LLC is seeking a knowledgeable, dynamic and detail‑oriented Environmental Specialist to join our Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Team. As a key member of our EHS team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the permitting, environmental compliance, and environmental impact reduction. The ideal candidate will possess audit skills, organizational skills, strong attention to detail, and a passion for contributing to sustainable business practices. This position reports to the Environmental Manager. Lead and optimize environmental management systems, including standards and procedures, within the assigned area. Collaborate with facilities to integrate corporate sustainability initiatives into site programs and compliance processes. Work with project teams to promote sustainability, climate change initiatives, environmental justice, and circular economy practices. Manage regulatory compliance, providing data for permit applications for new and modified equipment. Develop and deliver environmental training and ongoing coaching to facility personnel. Prepare compliance reports and respond to regulatory inquiries, while collaborating with experts to assess the impact of proposed regulations and advocate for environmentally protective measures. Perform other position related duties as assigned Qualifications: Basic: Minimum Age: 18 Years old 2 years’ experience as an Environmental Specialist in a manufacturing field Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related Scientific field A combination of education and industry experience will be considered in the event no degree is obtained Must be eligible to work in the United States While travel is unlikely, the ideal candidate will be able to travel, with reasonable prior notice as required (domestic and/or international) Ability to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as required Preferred: Masters’ Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering or equivalent Professional certification as a CHMM, or equivalent Working Conditions: Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time Ability to work around the potential exposure to dust and chemicals Ability to wear appropriate PPE as deemed essential for the job function Ability to lift up to 30 pounds STARPLUS ENERGY, LLC promotes an equal employment opportunity workplace which includes reasonable accommodations of other qualified disabled applications and employees.
