The Primary Care Patient Care MA will partner with patients, providers, and other members of the clinical care team to drive quality outcomes for all patients. Your responsibilities include: Preparing patients for provider visits using the Advanced Standard Rooming Process: * Documenting chief complaints * Taking vitals, reviewing history and allergies * Completing medication reconciliation * Addressing care gaps (e.g., screenings, diabetic eye exams) * Rechecking elevated blood pressures * Documenting preventive visit details in Epic Performing in-office testing: * Blood draws * Mental status exams * EKGs * Oxygen studies * Point-of-care testing Administering vaccines and injections within scope Scheduling follow-up appointments per office policy Collaborating with providers and clinical teams to support care plans Qualifications Primary Care Assistant - MA * Education: High School Diploma or GED * Certification: BLS required within 90 days of hire * ⭐ Preferred Experience: 6+ months in clinical healthcare, ideally in primary care Primary Care - Certified MA * Education: High School Diploma or GED * Certification: Active MA certification/registration (RMA, CCMA, CMA) * BLS: Required within 90 days of hire LPN Option * Education: Diploma in Practical Nursing * Licensure: Active LPN license * Preferred Experience: 6+ months in clinical healthcare, preferably primary care Why Mercy?
