Role Description The Recruiter is a full-time, on-site position based in North Adams, MA, responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process for a variety of roles across BFAIR’s programs and services. Day-to-day tasks include posting job openings, sourcing candidates through multiple channels, screening applications and resumes, and conducting initial interviews. The Recruiter coordinates interview schedules with hiring managers, facilitates background checks and reference checks, and supports new hire onboarding to ensure a positive candidate experience. The role also involves maintaining accurate recruitment records, tracking hiring metrics, attending job fairs and community outreach events, and collaborating with program leadership to understand staffing needs and workforce planning priorities. Qualifications Demonstrated experience in recruiting or talent acquisition, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating hiring processes. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and community partners. Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple open positions simultaneously. Proficiency with applicant tracking systems, HR software, and common office applications (e.g., email, spreadsheets, word processing). Knowledge of basic employment laws, hiring best practices, and recruitment compliance standards. Ability to work on-site in North Adams, MA, including occasional travel to job fairs or other BFAIR locations as needed. Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
