Junior High STEM & Writing Teacher

We are looking for educators who will support the school’s mission to educate children with learning differences to fulfill their potential. Responsibilities Develop/adapt curriculum for our Junior High classes of up to 12 students, specialized to student needs Differentiate instruction to remediate what students need to learn and push them to rigorous content understanding Maintain and utilize accurate and up-to-date data regarding student achievement Empower students through high expectations, consistent routines, and strategies for success Develop and maintain strong working relationships with parents, students and colleagues Work collaboratively with the level teams Contribute to the drafting of each student’s quarterly report outlining their academic and social progress Characteristics & Qualities Passionate about empowering students with unique learning profiles Innovative and creative Strong planner with an emphasis on execution Effective communicator, both internally and externally Team player High level of integrity and professionalism Willingness to go above and beyond Highly organized Previous teaching experience, preferably with students that have learning differences Education, Certificate, and Requirements Holds valid and up-to-date teaching certificate in Arizona Bachelor’s degree or higher with a preferred emphasis on special education Previous teaching experience preferably at the junior high level Compensation Competitive compensation based on experience in a range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year Full benefits including medical, vision and dental plans #J-18808-Ljbffr New Way Academy
