Cafe Worker - Chevy Chase

Prepare espresso drinks, coffee, tea, and other café beverages

Provide friendly customer service to faculty, staff, and guests

Prepare sandwiches, salads, snacks, and other grab-and-go items

Restock and maintain the teachers' lunchroom throughout the day

Keep café displays clean, organized, and fully stocked

Assist with food prep and basic kitchen tasks

Follow recipes, portion guidelines, and food safety standards

Operate a cash register/POS system as needed

Maintain a clean and sanitary café and work area

Work as part of a supportive team to create a welcoming dining experience

Cafe Hours:

• We are open Monday-Friday from 7 A.M.- 4 P.M.- but we can offer flexible scheduling!

Transportation:

• Free on-campus parking is available.
• Located on the Metro Red Line.
• On the bus line just steps away from Walter Reed Hospital and the NIH.

Pay Type:

$19.00 Hourly

Taking orders, accepting payments and serving menu items.

Interact positively with SAGE guests and Team Members.

Adhere to SAGE's recipes and allergy prevention policies.

Set up, clean, restock, and replenish serving lines and stations.

Balance bank by counting drawer at the beginning and end of shift.

Experience in food and beverage preparation and customer service preferred.

Ability to work as part of a high-energy, efficient team in a fast-paced environment.

Prior experience as a barista preferred.

Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in English accurately.
