Bon Secours CT – Cardiovascular and Thoracic Specialists – Coastal Hampton Roads, Virginia Bon Secours Cardiovascular and Thoracic Specialists is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our premier CT Surgery team. Position Highlights Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Call: 1:2 rotation Practice Setting: Hospital-based and outpatient Patient Population: Adults (18+), mix of inpatient and outpatient Average Caseload: Outpatient: 1–5 patients/day, Inpatient: 5–10 patients/day EMR: Epic (inpatient and outpatient) Responsibilities Provide comprehensive care to cardiovascular and thoracic surgery patients in the OR, ICU, and outpatient clinic settings. Perform endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) for CABG procedures. Assist in surgical cases, manage pre‑ and post‑operative care, and coordinate follow‑up with patients and families. Collaborate closely with the attending surgeon, fellow PAs, nursing staff, and the broader care team to ensure seamless, high‑quality patient care. Participate in call rotation and maintain readiness for emergent cases as required. Qualifications Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PA in Cardiothoracic Surgery, including proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting. Not entry level. Training: Demonstrated competence in OR and ICU procedures. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff. Proven ability to deliver compassionate, efficient, and thorough patient care. Current NCCPA certification and Virginia PA license (or eligibility).
