JOB OVERVIEW

With an established management team in place, Nizari PFCU seeks a highly motivated, experienced Universal Banker for its Austin locations.

FUNCTION

The Universal Banker is responsible for maintaining relationships with members to help them achieve their financial goals. The role is expected to identify their financial needs and offer appropriate solutions, such as opening new accounts, processing and funding loans, and helping members with their investments. The primary goal is to deliver exceptional member service while meeting sales targets and promoting the credit union’s products and services. Must be a team player and be able to work closely with other team members to ensure that the credit union policy and procedures are followed and that all member interactions are handled professionally and efficiently. The role may provide support and coverage to tellers and other branches.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensures that services are provided in accordance with established Credit Union policies and are legally compliant. Ensures that interviews and service requests are properly documented. Provides exemplary member service by professionally identifying opportunities to improve the member's financial well-being. Accountable for the personal achievement of monthly new accounts and loan production as assigned by management. Process loan applications and support all clerical functions for a loan in accordance with credit union procedures. Process deposits and pay out funds in accordance with credit union procedures, accurately recording all transactions and balancing each day\'s operations. Receive cash and checks for deposit, verify amounts, and look for check endorsements. Examine cash carefully to guard against acceptance of counterfeit checks. Accurately process teller transactions and issue customer receipts. Cross-sell bank services and products. Perform other tasks requested by supervisors as they relate to the credit union and its functions. Attend and represent Nizari PFCU at events and trade shows.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Education/Certification: Required Knowledge: General knowledge of Credit Union consumer products and services. Experience Required: Previous experience with a full-service financial institution preferred. Skills/Abilities: Good organizational skills and attentive to detail. Proficient typing abilities.
