Registered Nurse Telemetry

Position Summary Utilizes the nursing process to provide and direct primary nursing care to patients with cardiovascular, pulmonary, and vascular health deficits when outcomes may be unpredictable. Performs comprehensive assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of complex multisystem health care deficits; directs the care of unstable patients or patients requiring complex care management. Handles multiple demands and tasks simultaneously, demonstrating clinical problem‑solving skills. Supported by the Director of Medical/Surgical Nursing, Clinical Team Leader, and charge nurse in unit leadership roles, including serving as Charge Nurse, committee leadership, conducting unit orientation and education, and guiding the use of resources for patient care. Experience Preferred: One year experience in cardiopulmonary nursing on telemetry units. Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation, IV Therapy Certification, Hemodynamics, and Mock Code Workshop within 90 days of hire or at the first available course offering. Education Required: Graduate of an accredited diploma, associate degree, or baccalaureate nursing program. Non‑BSN nurses must complete a BSN within five years of hire. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing. License and Credentials Required: New Jersey State Nursing License; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Skills Required: Interpersonal, critical thinking, analytical skills, and basic computer skills. Populations Served Adult: Early Adult (19‑45), Middle Adult (46‑59), Late Adult (60‑79), Late, Late Adult (over 80). Work Hours and Compensation 60 hours per pay period. Hours: 7:00 pm – 7:00 am. Minimum starting rate: $47.08 per hour.
