Job Description

Job Title: HSB Cook/Baker Company: Hawkins Empire Division: Hawkins Sweet Bakery (HSB) Location: Jackson, MS Employment Type: Part-Time / Full-Time

The HSB Cook/Baker prepares fresh baked goods daily, follows recipes accurately, maintains kitchen cleanliness, and ensures consistent product quality for Hawkins Sweet Bakery.

Qualifications

• Daily Baking — Prepare cookies, cupcakes, muffins, brownies, and other baked items

• Recipe Accuracy — Follow HSB recipes and portion standards

• Kitchen Prep — Set up ingredients, tools, and equipment for daily production

• Quality Control — Ensure all products meet HSB freshness and appearance standards

• Inventory Support — Notify leads when ingredients need restocking

• Cleanliness — Maintain a clean workstation and follow food-safety guidelines

• Team Collaboration — Work with packaging and cashier staff to keep orders flowing

• Basic baking knowledge

• Ability to follow recipes

• Ability to stand for shifts

• Reliable and punctual

• Food-safe work habits

Preferred

• Bakery or kitchen experience

• Experience with commercial mixers/ovens
