Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager - CPA (Public Accounting) to lead client engagements, oversee accounting and tax services, mentor staff, and support the continued growth of a well-established public accounting firm.

This role is ideal for a CPA with strong public accounting experience who enjoys working directly with clients, managing complex tax and accounting engagements, and taking ownership of client relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage tax and accounting engagements for business and individual clients.
• Review complex business, partnership, trust, and individual tax returns.
• Review financial statements, compilations, reviews, and accounting engagements.
• Provide tax planning and consulting services to clients.
• Manage client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting and tax professionals.
• Research and resolve complex tax and accounting issues.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and professional standards.
• Assist with workflow improvements, quality control, and technology utilization.
• Support business development and expansion of client services.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive public accounting experience.
• Strong experience managing tax and accounting engagements.
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience reviewing corporate, partnership, trust, and individual tax returns.
• Multi-state tax experience preferred.
• Strong experience with QuickBooks Online/Desktop.
• Experience with Thomson Reuters products such as UltraTax CS, Accounting CS, Practice CS, or related systems preferred.
• Proven leadership, client management, and team development experience.
