Work Environment\n

This position is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in your work schedule while facilitating sessions in a digital format that best suits our school partnerships. Despite the remote setting, you will engage closely with a dedicated team of educators and specialists, ensuring a comprehensive support system for all students. Your work schedule will typically be Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts and rotating weekend shifts as necessary.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the emotional and psychological needs of students enrolled in our special education program.

• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique circumstances, with a focus on improving their mental health and social integration in the school environment.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions for conditions such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), learning disabilities, ADHD, emotional and behavioral disorders, and trauma.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions designed to enhance personal growth, emotional regulation, and the development of effective coping strategies.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teachers, speech therapists, and occupational therapists, ensuring holistic care for each student.

• Provide crisis intervention during mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate support and guidance to students in need.

• Educate students and families on mental health issues, resources, and community services available.

• Maintain thorough documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.

• Be an active participant in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing staff development activities to continually enhance your skills and knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on students who require mental health interventions within the special education system, specifically those dealing with ASD, ADHD, and other emotional and behavioral challenges. You will work closely with a diverse range of students, providing tailored support to empower each child on their mental health journey.

Qualifications\n

• A valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required, with a master’s or doctoral degree preferred.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly in the context of special education.

• Proficiency in conducting mental health assessments, diagnosing conditions, and formulating effective treatment plans.
\n
• Experience delivering both individual and group therapy through various therapeutic approaches.

• Exceptional crisis intervention skills, with the ability to perform under pressure and in high-stress situations.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, essential for effective collaboration with students and team members alike.

• Sound judgment and a commitment to maintaining professional boundaries and ethics.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, with excellent computer proficiency.

Preferred Experience\n

While we seek candidates with a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience, individuals with specific experience in school-based settings or those familiar with trauma-informed care are preferred. Your extensive skill set will directly enhance the therapeutic environment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 60,000 to 104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
