In order to become a Ryder employee you must:Be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hirePass a Ryder Drug TestPass a DOT physicalPass a Ryder road testPass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 yearsResponsibilitiesMaintain proper vehicle fuel and DEF inventories and reconciliation; record fuel activity; check oilMaintain fuel island area to Six Sigma standards and policies; perform some facility maintenancePerform multi-point inspection on inbound units as required by company policies and proceduresCheck tire pressure, minor tire repairs & replacements, wheel alignments, tire inventory per company's policies/proceduresAssist with environmental compliance of the location. Perform some preventive maintenanceConduct fleet analysis and report service issues to managementWash and detail vehicles; washing windows; move heavy duty vehiclesMay mentor and assist lower level service employees and technicians on tires Performs other duties as assigned
