Job Full Description

A local construction company in Elkins, WV has paired with Express to recruit a skilled Carpenter who will be responsible for assembling, installing and constructing various structures. This is a position that requires you to take direction well, keep a positive attitude, and possess a strong work ethic. Compensation for this full time position will be based on experience at up to $20.00 hourly.


Responsibilities:

• Use hand and power tools to cut, shape, and erect structural members of buildings.
• Measure materials to verify conformance to specifications.
• Move building materials around a construction site.
• Build and install window and door frames from rough lumber.
• Trim, level, or plumb framing members to ensure flush joints between them.
• Work closely with carpenters' helpers and other crew members to coordinate tasks such as layout, nailing, and finishing work.
• Assemble scaffolds and work platforms.
• Build forms for concrete.
