Key Job Responsibilities Travel to various sites to provide technical support and troubleshooting Provide detailed service reports and deliver excellent customer service Use judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions about the sequence of set‑ups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods and procedures Responsibility to prevent damage due to mistakes or carelessness to equipment or materials Qualifications/Requirements Understands welding and cutting applications including arc, air arcing, and dual‑shield wire Continuous mental and visual attention; usually repetitive work or diversified operations requiring constant alertness or activity Clean tools, clean equipment, paint and grease equipment as needed Prevent loss which may result from negligent inspection or testing; from spoilage or wastage of raw or in‑process materials Will work with a higher welder or mechanic to learn to interpret blueprints, operate electrical power tools and pneumatic power tools, and learn how to follow a scope of work Over 1 year up to and including 3 years mechanical experience and/or weld experience in a similar job is a plus Ability to interpret and understand complicated drawings, specifications, charts and tables Flexibility to work various schedules including shift work Possession of or eligibility to obtain a CDL is required for this position. Additional Information Hiring Range At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. This role pays $33.40–$44.60. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
