Forklift Driver and Material Handler (Day Shift)
GDI Services Inc, LLC, is a recognized leader in providing facility maintenance and building services to many of the most recognized brands in the manufacturing, distribution, power generation, hospitality, health care and automotive industries.
We are seeking Forklift Operators/Sanitor for Full-Time opportunities in a facility located in Jackson, TN. Pay: $18 per hour (Bi-Weekly). 12 Hour Shifts. Hours: Day Shift 6:00 am - 6:30 pm. Typical Education/Training: High School Diploma/GED. Forklift Certification preferred. Knowledge & Skills: Critical thinking and problem solving, Comprehend and follow instructions, Understand production processes and systems. Licensed Operation of Forklift, Understand Safety and Food Quality standards.
Job Duties: Operating a forklift within facility production lines to various trailers and compactors. Assure that trailers are not overfilled or exceed weight limits. Handle trailer and compactor exchange. Responsible for cleaning and maintaining designated A-Feed areas (including floors, assigned lifts, compactors, and totes). Strictly adhere to lockout/tagout procedures. Sort and bail common recycle materials. Gather materials from around facility to a common location. Maintaining and following GMP protocols. Helping maintain a Safe and Food Safe environment through teamwork and proper food sanitation training. Keep a record of scrap for accountability purposes.
Qualifications: Must pass drug screen and background check. A strong work ethic. The ability to work alone or within a team is a must. Safety Conscious.
