IT Manager

Job Title

Essential Functions:

• Develops, maintains and updates IT departmental goals, objectives, and operating procedures.
• Supervises IT Department daily activities ensuring that IT system development, enhancement, maintenance and support are delivered consistent with the organization’s expectations and objectives.
• Supervises programming activities as needed based on IT project schedule.
• Recruits and trains IT technical staff. Provides for the technical development of the IT staff through learning opportunities and continued education.
• Manages, maintains and upgrades organization’s network infrastructure ensuring that appropriate system support is provided to ensure consistent efficient business operations.
• Develops, tracks, and controls the information technology annual operating and capital budgets in conjunction with the COO and the CFO.
• Provides project management for major company system development or system enhancement projects, both internal and external, ensuring that projects are completed timely, consistent with system specifications and budget expectations.
• Keep current with trends and issues in the IT industry, including current technologies and prices.
• Directs development and execution of a company-wide IT disaster recovery continuity plan.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science degree from accredited college/university or equivalent experience
• At least five or more years experience managing and directing an IT function, retail environment preferred
• Familiarity with development environment including knowledge of SQL Server, Visual Basic (VB.NET) and ASP.NET (Active Server Pages), SQL, Crystal reports or SSRS reports.
• A comprehensive knowledge of the general direction of the information systems industry and technology (evolving product, services, trends etc.) especially related to retail and ecommerce
• Project management experience particularly with software development and system implementation.
