Job Summary Location: Lyerly Neurosurgery - Baptist Health, Jacksonville, Florida Duration: 1-2 years (based on experience and training) Fellowship Type: OFF THE MATCH Non-ACGME/CAST Certified (guided by ACGME Competencies) Fellowship Overview This 12-24-month fellowship in Neurointerventional Surgery provides specialized training in cerebrovascular (CV) surgery, integrating both microsurgical and endovascular techniques. The program is designed to develop clinically skilled, research-oriented neurovascular surgeons who will become leaders in the field. Fellows will gain extensive experience in cerebral angiography, advanced neurovascular interventions, and cerebrovascular microsurgery. Baptist Health has performed over 1,400 Endovascular procedures and over 800 cranial cases, offering extensive hands‑on experience to our trainees. Curriculum Hands‑on surgical and endovascular procedures ICU rounds and neurovascular patient management Research and academic development Pediatric cerebrovascular training Training Structure First‑Year Fellow (Junior Fellow) Focuses on ICU rounds, clinical service, and basic endovascular skills Intensive simulator‑based training Assists senior fellows and faculty in basic and advanced procedures Direct supervision and quarterly evaluations Second‑Year Fellow (Senior Fellow) Serves as Chief Fellow with administrative responsibilities Oversees operative scheduling, on‑call coverage, and team management Primary surgeon in complex surgical and interventional cases (under supervision) Special focus on pediatric cerebrovascular surgery Advanced training in: Aneurysms, AVMs, AVFs, carotid disease Acute stroke management, cerebral revascularization Pediatric neurovascular pathologies Call Responsibilities Fellows are assigned to faculty services and rotate through attending teams Monthly 24‑hour call schedule arranged among fellows Fellows may opt to cover general neurosurgery if board‑eligible/certified Required to participate in Monday, Thursday and Friday Conferences and clinic hours when not in OR/IR Eligibility Criteria Education: Neurosurgery, Neurology, or Radiology background Board Eligibility/Certification: Preferred but not mandatory (international fellows accepted) Licensure: Florida Limited License (International Fellows) or Full License (US Graduates) Skills/Experience: Strong background in neurosurgery, neurology, or radiology Education Required Doctor of Medicine Education Preferred PhD Experience Neurosurgery Experience License and Certification Licensed Physician - Board of Medicine Driver's License - DMVCertified in Neurosurgery - ABNS Location Baptist Jacksonville (Downtown) 841 Prudential Dr Jacksonville, Florida, 32207 #J-18808-Ljbffr
