Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Demonstrates a positive attitude, professional demeanor, compassionate care while demonstrating active listening skills.
• Maintains current licensure and certifications as per job description and keeps current on assigned education and training tasks.
• Follows Hand-Off Communication policy as appropriate.
• Utilizes Standard Universal Precautions.
• Responds to patient needs in a timely manner, including answering call lights.
• Ensures that patient's pain is well controlled.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, peers and other members of the healthcare team.
• Identifies patient's individual needs, problems, issues, concerns and considers chronological and developmental levels.
• Demonstrates clinical competence in de-escalation techniques.
• Participates in ongoing clinical education to ensure competency and currency specific to Psychiatry.

Scheduled Hours: 32 hr/wk, rotating weekend/holiday coverage.

Work Shift: Day 7p - 330p

Education Required: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program.

Licenses, Registrations, Certifications Required:

• State of Massachusetts RN licensure (or eligibility)
• BLS Certification
• Advanced AVADE training - annually
