Title: Lab Technician Department Org: Neurosciences - 107510 Employee Classification: N4 - Unclass Temp HSC Bargaining Unit: Professional Staff Association Primary Location: HSC C Shift Start Time: 8:30 End Time: 5:00 Job Description Under the direction and supervision of the Principle Investigator (PI), the lab research tech will perform wet laboratory experiments with a focus on cell culture and assessment of lead drug compounds. Ordering supplies and passaging cell lines will also be part of the wet laboratory duties. Education/experience/licensing Minimum Qualifications A high school diploma is required. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written. Ability to read and write common vocabulary and perform arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide, calculate fractions). Ability to follow work direction. Ability to use personal computer and common office equipment. Preferred Qualifications Experience in wet laboratory research is preferred.
