Consumer Experience – Social Engagement Specialist This role offers an opportunity to transition from private, public, government or military experience to a 3M career. The Impact You’ll Make in this Role As a CX – Social Application & Engagement Specialist in Consumer Safety & Wellbeing Division you will: Create and execute original content (images, short‑form videos) and responses across Filtrete Brand’s owned social media channels 3‑5 times a week to generate awareness and affinity for the brand; Partner with cross‑functional team members (e.g., R&D, creative/agency partners) to develop industry‑leading creative assets; Gather, analyze and communicate social media KPIs to stakeholders using native insights, social management and analytic tools, and adjust plans and content to drive audience growth and engagement; Contribute through leadership on social media and cultural trends relevant to the brand; present/socialize trends with division management, marketing teams and R&D; Monitor, listen, interact and respond to consumers, influencers and other stakeholders posting comments or questions about air filtration and/or Filtrete brand air filtration products, ensuring brand voice and quality standards are met during these interactions; Assist with the brand’s paid social media strategy. Your Skills and Expertise Minimum qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations or journalism (completed and verified prior to start); Three (3) years of experience posting and managing social media accounts including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and Pinterest or others in a private, public, government or military environment. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed: Experience creating high‑performing organic and paid social content for a consumer brand, including short‑form video, community engagement and platform‑specific content strategies across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Pinterest; Knowledge of social media best practices and trends; Strong content creation experience, including ability to create and edit new social and video content; Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment; Previous experience partnering with a consumer brand to create social media content; Strong communication skills (both written and oral); Knowledge and experience in the consumer‑packaged goods industry; Knowledge and experience in mass retail, online and other consumer channels; Experience with marketing technology/tools; Ability to use analytics to take projects effectively from analysis to insight and implementation; Demonstrated ability to translate technical, product or science‑based information into clear, compelling social content that builds brand awareness, consumer trust and engagement; Proficiency with social media management, listening and analytics tools, with a track record of using performance insights to optimize content, inform strategy and drive measurable business results; Experience collaborating effectively with cross‑functional teams and external partners, including marketing, R&D, creative agencies and influencers, to develop on‑brand content and execute integrated campaigns; Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institution. Work Location This role follows an on‑site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN. Travel May include up to 5% domestic travel. Relocation May be authorized. Legal Requirements Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status). Compensation and Benefits Expected compensation range: $109,202 – $133,469, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay if eligible.
