The nurse will work a 4x10 day shift schedule. Weekend coverage is typically every fourth weekend, with weekday coverage as needed. On-call duties are required during specified hours on weekdays as per rotation with staff. Floating within the scope to meet facility needs is necessary. Candidates need a minimum of 2 years of experience in the operating room. First-time travelers are accepted for this position. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory. Travelers should be aware of the potential for emergency response assignments during hurricane season. Adherence to pre-established time off guidelines is crucial. The facility has specific requirements for local and non-local candidates. The hospital will provide surgical scrubs. Epic is the charting system utilized.
