This role includes assisting radiologists in various procedures and supervising student MRI Technologists. Maintaining positive customer relations is also a key responsibility. Key Responsibilities\n \n Ensure the care and safety of patients during imaging procedures, applying age-appropriate care. Follow established protocols and obtain correct written orders for procedures. \n Utilize imaging equipment efficiently to minimize repeat examinations while emphasizing cost containment in the use of supplies. \n Instruct and prepare patients for imaging procedures, assisting in obtaining informed consent as necessary and ensuring patient comprehension of the procedures. \n Accurately enter orders, diagnoses, and clinical histories into the computer system while maintaining effective communication with radiologists. \n Adhere to all hospital, departmental, and safety policies and procedures including good radiation protection measures and compliance with ALARA principles. \n Assist members of the Imaging Team and collaborate with other disciplines, demonstrating teamwork and a willingness to help. \n Contribute to departmental goals by offering ideas for improving operations and actively participating in team projects. \n Required Skills and Knowledge\n \n Strong interpersonal and communication skills. \n Ability to perform and educate on MRI exams to produce satisfactory diagnostic images. \n Understanding of OSHA, DHEC, FDA, and TJC standards and regulations. \n Knowledge of safe operation of MRI and post-processing equipment. \n Familiarity with standard office equipment operations. \n Qualifications\n \n Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). \n Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card. \n Graduate of an accredited school of Allied Health Professionals. \n Preferred experience in cross-sectional anatomy or MRI settings. \n Physical Demands\n \n Frequent standing and walking, with lifting/moving patients as necessary. \n Ability to lift, move, or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. \n Frequent use of hand and finger dexterity, along with reaching tasks. \n Potential exposure to blood, body fluids, and infectious materials in a healthcare environment. \n Adhere to successful working conditions, including potential noise levels and exposure to stressful situations, deadlines, or irregular hours. \n Schedule\n This position requires working on a schedule of 0700-1930 from Wednesday to Friday, with no on-call commitments. \n \n Wellspring Nurse Source Job ID 38102234.
