This contract, full-time position offers 32.5 hours per week, allowing you to provide vital support to educators and positively impact the classroom environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Must hold a valid TA certification or Paraprofessional certification
• Prior experience working as a Paraprofessional is preferred
• Understanding of child development and elementary educational practices
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and students
• Patient, reliable, and professional approach to supporting student needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in the delivery of instructional activities to students
• Support students individually or in small groups, promoting engagement and learning
• Adapt class materials as directed by teaching staff to meet diverse learning styles and abilities
• Foster an encouraging, inclusive, and safe classroom atmosphere
• Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, lunch, and recess as needed
• Help implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior management strategies
• Assist with recordkeeping and progress monitoring under teacher direction
• Communicate observations and progress with teachers and relevant school staff
