Camp Paramedic Seasonal Camp Kateri, Hawthorne, FL, US 4 days ago Requisition ID: 1015 The Camp Paramedic will serve to monitor the health and safety of the Girl Scouts while they are attending Camp Kateri. This position will be responsible for managing the medical records and needs of the campers and staff. This position is unique in that the applicant will be involved daily with monitoring camper’s health. This is an 8-week residential position that will run May 24, 2026 - July 17, 2026 , and includes room and meals for the duration of the summer sessions. In addition, this position is responsible for: Provide health care to meet individual needs of camp staff and campers Collaborate with other medical staff to meet medical needs. Follow health care policies/procedures as described in the Healthcare Manual and treatment procedures. Set up the camp Health Center. Inventory and order all necessary medical supplies and equipment. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records according to Florida state and American Camp Association standards. Ensure staff and camper health examinations are current and on file. Prepare and utilize daily medical log for treatment and medications. Prepare and record insurance and accident report forms. Oversee First Aid procedures and supplies. Prepare and distribute first aid kits throughout camp including camp vehicles, kitchen, offices, waterfront, activity areas, out-of-camp trips. Ensure a staff orientation session is delivered on medical services. Ensure camp staff and campers know their role related to health care and first aid. Screen all campers and staff who are arriving and departing camp. Supervise sanitary conditions throughout camp. Report any health problems or symptoms of illness to the Camp Director Desired Skills and Experience: · Must be at least 21 years of age

• Paramedic or Registered nurse (RN) with a current license as required by state law.
• Interest, knowledge, and/or skill in the Girl Scout program in the camp setting.
• Must be willing to obtain first aid/CPR during pre-camp training.
• Experience in first aid and emergency management.
• Public health or school nursing experience desirable.
• Ability to clear a Florida Department Law Enforcement Level 2 Background screening.
