Sterile Processing Technician

Location: Salem, OR

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Mid 5x8-Hour Shift (15:00 - 23:30) with weekend rotations.

Job Description: The Sterile Processing Technician I is responsible for cleaning, preparing, sterilizing, and storing instruments for various surgical procedures within the healthcare system. This role primarily involves working in the decontamination area and rarely assembling trays. The technician will also prepare case carts for the operating room.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment.
• Prepare and assemble case carts as required for surgical procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards during processing.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient workflow.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and inventory.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sterile processing.
• Must possess certification as CRCST or CSPDT at the time of hire.
• Must have a rating of 3 or above in Robotics experience.
• Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center or a similar facility is strongly preferred.
