What You'll Do

• Conduct patient assessments and consultations for digestive health issues
• Perform colonoscopies, endoscopies, PEG tube placements, and esophageal dilations
• Utilize diagnostic tools including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and ultrasounds
• Refer patients for surgery and contribute to ongoing treatment plans
• Document patient care and administrative tasks using EPIC
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide urgent and scheduled care during night shifts within adult acute care setting

What You Need
Required:

• NY State Medical License in hand
• Board Certification in Gastroenterology
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in GI procedures (EGD, scope experience, PEG, dilation, etc.)
• AHA or RQI certifications (BLS, ACLS)
• EPIC electronic charting experience
• Ability to adhere to unit policies and shift requirements

Preferred:

• Experience with upper/lower scopes and ERCP/EUS (referral out is accepted)
• Strong communication skills and professional demeanor
