Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Barber role based at Level Headed Barber in Farmington, MI. The Barber will provide high-quality haircuts, grooming services, and styling consultations while delivering a professional, welcoming, and consistent client experience. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing barbering services, recommending appropriate hair care and grooming products, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and following sanitation and safety standards. The role also involves managing client appointments, building long-term client relationships, and supporting shop operations such as opening/closing procedures and inventory checks. Team members are encouraged to participate in ongoing education, adopt best practices in customer service and branding, and contribute to a positive, growth-focused culture. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Barbering and Hair Cutting skills, with the ability to deliver precise, consistent, and modern cuts. Candidates should possess Hair Styling and Hair Care skills to advise clients on styles, maintenance routines, and product usage. Candidates should possess foundational Cosmetology knowledge, including sanitation, safety, and basic skin and hair health principles. Valid state barber or cosmetology license (Michigan) or eligibility to obtain one promptly. Previous barbershop or men’s grooming experience preferred, with a client-first approach and strong communication skills. Ability to stand for extended periods, manage a steady flow of appointments, and work collaboratively with a team.
