Store Manager

Role Overview Responsible for managing store operations, including staffing, inventory control, merchandising, and customer service to ensure effective store performance. Key Responsibilities Recruit, train, evaluate, and retain qualified employees, ensuring proper staffing and compliance with labor laws. Provide performance feedback, conduct evaluations, and address employee development needs. Oversee daily store opening and closing, ensuring operational efficiency. Analyze financial statements to identify sales trends, control expenses, and reduce shrinkage. Manage inventory levels through ordering, stock presentation, and cycle counts. Maintain merchandise presentation, signage, and pricing according to standards. Ensure cash handling accuracy, security, and adherence to cash control procedures. Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a clean, safe store environment. Follow policies and complete documentation accurately and timely. Qualifications & Skills Ability to interpret operational documents, perform basic math, and handle cash procedures. Knowledge of inventory management, merchandising, and safety policies. Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Preferred: Bilingual Spanish speakers; high school diploma or equivalent; management experience in retail. Physical & Working Conditions Frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting up to 40-55 pounds. Occasional climbing and outside weather exposure.
