Registered Nurse - Med Surg Telemetry

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day 3x12-Hour shift (07:00 - 19:00)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse for our Med Surg Telemetry unit. This position requires floating within your scope and managing a patient ratio of 1:6 in a high acuity environment. The role involves collaboration with a rapid response team and expertise in total joint management. Strong telemetry experience is mandatory.

Provide quality patient care in a mixed unit setting encompassing Med Surg, Med Surg Tele, and PCU.

Monitor patients closely, manage telemetry, and administer medications as required.

Assist and support the rapid response team.

Document patient observations and interventions accurately in the Meditech system.

Participate in required orientation sessions and maintain ongoing education in unit-specific competencies.

Minimum of 2 years of Med Surg Telemetry experience required.

Current RN license (Florida or Compact RN license) is mandatory.

Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS.

Experience with rapid response teams and managing high acuity patients.

Ability to float to ED for Med Surg holds and handle surgical drains, telemetry, and total joint replacements.

Must live more than 30 miles from the facility.
