Unlike standard security roles, this position serves as a highly visible campus ambassador. Minimum Qualifications

•Education: High School Diploma or GED •Skills: Exceptional de-escalation and communication skills are required to handle student conflicts and high-stress situations calmly. •Background: Must pass an extensive background check and may be required to serve as a Campus Security Authority (CSA) as defined by the Clery Act. •Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean record.

Job Duties and Other Information

Patrols an assigned area. Checks security of buildings and grounds. Monitors alarm panels and cameras for disturbances. Receives and transmits messages over two way radio. Follows directives issued by supervisor. Checks identification of persons who enter facilities or grounds. Monitors alarm boards for signs of disturbances. Conducts preliminary investigations relevant to disturbances within an assigned area. Interviews disturbances in order to restore peace.
