Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job's compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations. Responsibilities: GENERAL PURPOSE: Accountable for provision of competent patient care based on established standards. Assumes an expanded role which includes but is not limited to the preceptor role, participation on committees, and performing advanced respiratory care procedures. Fulltime position, 40 hours; Monday – Friday days The Department of Pediatric Pulmonary is looking to hire a Respiratory Therapist to perform Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT), Ventilator checks, and Exercise tolerance testing as well as providing general technical support in respiratory care including patient/caregiver education, Vest fittings and equipment support. Proficiency in performing and analyzing pulmonary function testing, oximetry, and capnography as needed. Demonstrates a working knowledge of homecare ventilators, CPAP, Bipap, suction equipment, and apnea monitors. Minimum of 2-3 years of respiratory experience preferred. NYS license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
