They order materials needed for production and organize the distribution and dispatch of goods. They deal with operational accounting, bookkeeping, payroll accounting, inventory and sales figures, tax and insurance issues. Depending on their area of responsibility, they negotiate with customers, suppliers, banks, authorities or wholesalers and retailers, for example. Their daily work involves dealing with computers, faxes and telephones.
